Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before booking your adventure with Machu Tour & Safari.

1. Introduction

Welcome to Machu Tour & Safari. By booking a tour, safari, or related service with us, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please ensure you have read and understood them prior to confirming your booking.

2. Bookings & Payment

  • A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total tour cost is required to secure your booking.
  • The remaining balance of 70% must be paid at least 30 days prior to the start date of your tour.
  • For bookings made within 30 days of departure, full payment is required immediately.
  • Prices are quoted in USD and are subject to change without prior notice due to fluctuations in exchange rates or government park fees.

3. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations must be sent in writing. The following cancellation charges apply based on the date we receive your written notification:

  • 60+ days before departure: Loss of deposit.
  • 30 to 59 days before departure: 50% of the total cost is forfeited.
  • 15 to 29 days before departure: 75% of the total cost is forfeited.
  • 14 days or less before departure: 100% of the total cost is forfeited (no refund).

4. Itinerary Changes

Machu Tour & Safari reserves the right to alter routes, itineraries, or accommodations if necessitated by weather conditions, impassable roads, animal migrations, or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, alternative arrangements of a similar standard will be provided.

5. Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all clients. Your insurance must cover medical expenses, emergency evacuation, repatriation, and trip cancellation. Machu Tour & Safari will not be held liable for any costs incurred due to lack of adequate insurance.

6. Liability & Risks

Safaris involve close proximity to wild animals and travel over rough terrain. While we take every precaution to ensure your safety, Machu Tour & Safari, its employees, and agents cannot be held responsible for any injury, illness, death, loss, or damage to property during the tour.

7. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania and Zanzibar. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tanzanian courts.
